We were going to go to the Newseum and Rachel was looking at the handout about it and had a discovery, "Oh, so it's not about new things, it's about news." hahahaha she thought the museum was for new things, what would that even be? When really it was about the news. It's funny.

Day 7: April 18 2009. Steph's brother Matt and her mom and dad came into the city with us.
We tried to get close to the White House but there was some secret security operation going on and they wouldn't let us near it. So we went on the grass by the Washington Monument where we could at least see it from a distance.
We ate lunch at this awesome place called Ollie's. It wasn't fancy at all but it was so fun and the food was terrific. We all had burgers and fries and shakes. They had this wonderful 40's music playing the whole time. So great!
This is at the National Gallery of Art. We saw so many amazing paintings!!! This particular one is a self portrait of Vincent Van Gogh. His brush actually touched this very painting! So Amazing!!!
We started out at the Air and Space Museum....I think it's called that. After that the men went home and us girls and Steph's mom wandered around the city. This picture is us being stewardesses and mannequins and such.
Day 6: April 17 2009. We visited TONS of Memorials! AND Steph's mom came with us.

Day 5: April 16 2009. We visited the National Geographic museum, Arlington Cemetery, and the Lincoln Memorial.
